Luda Pahl was born in Russia and educated at the Academy of Arts of Thilisi in the Republic of Georgia.  She is an illustrator, cartoonist, collagist, translator, dress designer and art teacher.  While living in Europe, she worked as a costume designer for the Trier Ballet Theater.  Her art has been exhibited at Flushing Town Hall, in Queens, New York and the Arsenal Gallery in Manhattan. Under the initials DLP, she and her husband collaborate on cartoons reflecting their cynical view of contemporary society. She has also illustrated work by Angelita De Christopher, Dennis Pahl, and John Digby.
