John Dolis is Professor of English and American Studies at Penn State University, Scranton.  His publications include two books of literary criticism (The Style of Hawthorne's Gaze and Tracking Thoreau), four poetry chapbooks, numerous articles in literary, philosophical, and psychoanalytic journals, and book reviews.
