E. F. Weisslitz (1925-2009) was a lyrical poet who spent her last years in Massachusetts. She cited The Second World War as the central event of her life. Educated in the physical and social sciences, she worked professionally in each at one time or another before she started writing. Her poems have been published in many periodicals, both in the US and Canada. These include The New Yorker, The Yale Review, The Nation and Poetry. Several have also appeared on Internet sites.
